Typeform Data Breach – the list gets longer

Several days after Typeform reported that a backup had been accessed by an unknown third party, the list of companies affected is continuing to grow.

The ICO has said;

“If your organisation has been affected by the Typeform incident and you have enough information to establish that there may be a risk to your customers, you should report the breach to the ICO”

The Caterer is reporting that Travelodge customers have been affected

In a statement, Travelodge said:

“We have worked during the weekend to isolate how the wider incident impacted Travelodge data, which customers were affected and how to contact those customers.”

Liberal Democrat members details have been affected according to a post on their site and have said the following:

“We are in communication with Typeform and will be re-evaluating our relationship with them in light of this incident.

We take the security of your data seriously and if we are not satisfied that sufficient steps have been taken to secure your data, we will terminate our relationship with Typeform.”

The Mail is reporting that 23,000 customers of Fortnum and Masons have also been affected. Fortnum and Masons informed customers that’ Typeform forms on the store’s website have been disabled.

The ICO has created a dedicated form for affected companies to report their breach on.
